History

Back in the mid-1990's, a phenomenon known as "Pokemon" swept the United states, as well as the rest of the globe. What started innocently enough, raptured the hearts of children and adults alike, and put "Pikachu" in the history books. Pokemon comes from the name "Pocket Monsters" as it was called in its birthplace of Japan, created by Satoshi Tajiri and his buddy Ken Sugimori, and their game of catching monsters also revitalized the gameboy.

Now, you all probably know the story that is Pokemon, but do you know our story? In the summer of 2006, Destinie thought that she had grown out of the pocket monster stage, but for some reason, was feeling a bit nostalgic. She remembered how much fun it was to play her game and her cards and really, really wanted to play Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness! So, she picked up a copy of the game and all of the sudden the sweet flowing feeling of nostalgia decended upon her!

Back in the day, Destinie tried to create her own Pokemon doujinshi, but that bombed after about three pages, with a weak character and a weak storyline. D: Well, after playing Gale of Darkness, Janine (her sister) was hit with the single, greatest thought in all of mankind: "Where Does Abra go when he teleports?" And thus, Disfunctional pokemon adventure was born!

The two sisters decided to take their jokes and love for Pocket monsters to create an online parody that mocks pokemon! But why mock something they love? Well, it's easy, and fun! And besides, who else would write a story about a totally unenthused pokemon trainer and his two obnoxious sidekicks?

How long will Duce travel to appease his parents? Not sure, we don't even know!! So enjoy reading! ;3
